Let the dessert cool all the way, then cut it up into squares and dig in.

Slide the dish into your oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes. If you poke the middle with a toothpick and it comes out clean, you’re good.

Pour the batter into your greased pan. Scatter those chopped vanilla wafers all over the top.

Whisk up the pudding mix and milk together in a big bowl until it thickens up and everything’s blended.
