Once you've melted everything, let it sit a few minutes so it's easier to handle.

Roll or squish the dough into strips or balls. For that sour kick, toss in the citric acid here.

Just leave the shaped gum out on your counter for about 30 minutes so it can get firm enough to chew.

Bit by bit, dump in the powdered sugar. Keep kneading until it isn’t sticky anymore and feels nice to shape.

Mix in some food coloring and flavoring oil so everything looks and tastes just how you want.

Pop the gum base in a bowl that’s good for the microwave. Heat it for 30 seconds at a time and stir after each go, until it’s totally melted.

Pour the corn syrup into your melted gum base. Give it a good stir until it’s all blended.
