Buttery Warm Apple Sauce (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 2 cups of water
02 - 12 fresh Fuji apples

→ For Topping

03 - 1 pinch ground nutmeg
04 - 1 to 2 tablespoons of butter from grass-fed cows
05 - 1 pinch of cinnamon powder

# Instructions:

01 - Chop up the apples into smaller pieces after peeling them.
02 - Place the apple chunks and water together in a roomy pot with a lid that closes tightly.
03 - Start cooking by bringing the mixture to a gentle bubble on medium heat. After that, cover and lower the flame to its lowest setting.
04 - Let it stay on low heat under the lid for roughly 60 minutes. Don’t forget to stir it now and then.
05 - Once the liquid’s mostly gone, the apples should turn darker, almost caramel-like. Stir frequently and let it thicken completely until soft. Smash large apple bits using your spoon.
06 - Dish it out warm in small cups, adding a generous scoop of butter and a sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg.

# Notes:

01 - Keep extra apple sauce in the fridge and eat it cold or warmed up later!
02 - For a softer texture, blend the sauce with a stick blender once it’s done.
03 - Other apples like Honeycrisp, Gala, or Pink Lady work great too!
