08 - Caramel sauce for drizzling on top

# Instructions:

01 - Once both bags are ready, pour everything into a big bowl. Drizzle with caramel sauce, give it a light toss, and you’re good to dig in.
02 - Seal up each zip bag tight and shake hard until you see all the cereal covered with the dry stuff.
03 - Drop your coated cereal into the waiting bags with the granola, cinnamon, and cake mix that you set aside. Make sure you keep them separate.
04 - Pour the melted green candy on one half, and the lime green one on the other half of the cereal. Gently fold it all in to cover every piece.
05 - In two separate microwave bowls, heat 1 cup green candy melts and 1 teaspoon shortening in one. In the other, heat lime green melts with another teaspoon shortening. Melt until smooth.
06 - In both big zip bags, throw in 0.5 cup cake mix, 1 cup granola, and a spoonful of cinnamon (literally 1 teaspoon). Leave aside for now.
07 - Take your two smaller bowls and put 5 cups of the Chex in each. Now you’ve got two equal batches.

# Notes:

01 - You can keep it fresh at room temp if you use a sealed container for up to three days.
02 - You could swap in regular rice or corn Chex, but the cinnamon taste won’t pop as much.
