Soft Cream Cheese Chocolate Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Wet Ingredients

01 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened
02 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
03 - 1 cup granulated sugar
04 - 1 large egg
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

→ Dry Ingredients

06 - 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
07 - 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
08 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
09 - 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, butter, and granulated sugar using a hand mixer or stand mixer until the mixture is light and fluffy.
03 - Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated and smooth.
04 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the cream cheese mixture, mixing until just combined.
05 - Using a spatula, gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
06 - Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart to allow room for spreading. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden while the centers remain soft.
07 - Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

# Notes:

01 - Make sure cream cheese is at room temperature for smooth mixing
02 - Chill dough for 30 minutes before baking for thicker cookies
03 - Store in airtight container for up to 5 days
04 - Can be frozen for up to 2 months
