Overnight Breakfast Casserole (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound of cooked breakfast sausage, crumbled
02 - 6 big croissants, broken into chunks
03 - 6 eggs
04 - 2 cups of milk
05 - 2 cups of cheddar cheese, shredded
06 - 1/2 teaspoon of salt
07 - 1 teaspoon mustard powder
08 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Lightly coat a 9×13-inch dish with grease. Spread out the croissant chunks across the bottom.
02 - Scatter the crumbled sausage over the croissant pieces. Follow it up with an even layer of shredded cheese.
03 - In a big mixing bowl, beat the eggs with the milk, mustard powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until smooth.
04 - Pour the egg blend over the croissant, sausage, and cheese layers. Press everything down a bit to soak the bread in the mixture.
05 - Cover the dish with some plastic wrap and let it chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight.
06 - Turn the oven to 350°F (175°C). Take the dish out of the fridge and leave it at room temp while the oven preheats. Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes, or until golden on top with a firm custard.
07 - Let it rest for a few minutes. Then cut it up and serve warm.

# Notes:

01 - Letting the dish chill overnight is ideal for the best results.
