Grilled Octopus Seafood (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Octopus Prep

01 - 1 full octopus, cleaned and either fresh or frozen
02 - Salt, adjust to your liking

→ Flavor Mix

03 - 3 tbsp olive oil
04 - 2 garlic cloves, chopped finely
05 - 2 tbsp squeezed lemon juice
06 - Pinch of salt, up to you
07 - Some ground black pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Rinse the octopus well under cold water. Make sure you remove any leftover sand or ink from the inside of the body.
02 - On the stovetop, simmer the octopus in water with some salt for about half an hour. You’ll know it’s done when your fork slides in easily.
03 - Stir together lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, black pepper, and a bit of salt. Coat the cooked octopus in this mix and store it in the fridge for a couple of hours or overnight.
04 - Heat your grill or grill pan as high as it can go before cooking.
05 - Grill the marinated octopus for around 3 to 4 minutes on each side until it's slightly crispy and charred. Don’t let it go too long or it’ll get chewy.

# Notes:

01 - Make sure it’s tender and easy to pierce with a fork before starting the marinade step.
02 - Leaving it in the marinade longer, like overnight, helps extra flavor soak in.
