Green Cookie Treats (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cookie Dough

01 - 2 eggs, large size
02 - 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
03 - 3 cups (15.25 oz box) of white cake mix
04 - A small dab of Kelly green gel food coloring (about 1/4 teaspoon)

→ Coating

05 - 6 tablespoons of powdered sugar
06 - 3 tablespoons granulated sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Mix the cake mix, eggs, and oil in a big bowl. Stir well until it turns into a sticky dough.
02 - Stir in the green gel color until it's blended evenly throughout.
03 - Cover the bowl with cling film and pop it in the fridge for half an hour to chill.
04 - Turn the oven to 350°F. Put parchment paper on a baking sheet, and set up one bowl of granulated sugar and another for powdered sugar.
05 - Scoop out portions of dough using a tablespoon-sized cookie scoop. Roll the scooped dough into small balls with your hands.
06 - Roll each dough ball first in the granulated sugar, making sure it's covered. Then do the same with the powdered sugar.
07 - Place the sugar-coated dough balls on the lined baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between them.
08 - Pop the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 9-12 minutes. The cookies should spread just a bit, with cracks forming on top.
09 - Take cookies out of the oven, letting them sit on the baking tray for 5 minutes. Then move them to a wire rack to finish cooling.
10 - Put the completely cool cookies in a sealed container. They'll stay good at room temperature for 5 days, or freeze to keep them longer.

# Notes:

01 - When stored properly, these cookies keep their soft, chewy texture for several days.
02 - Covering them first in granulated sugar helps the powdered sugar stick better.
03 - Gel coloring works best since it won’t make the dough runny like liquid coloring.
