Set your oven to 200°C and let it get hot.

Chop the pears in half and pull out the middles, but don’t peel them.

Put butter in a sturdy frying pan or a cast iron skillet. Warm it up over medium heat.

Lay pear halves with cut sides down into the pan. Cook for about 2 minutes.

Pop the whole pan into the oven and let the pears bake for 20 minutes.

Flip over the pears carefully and pour the balsamic all over them. Stick the pan back in for 5 more minutes.

Take the pan out, pour honey over each pear half, and let them chill for a couple minutes.

Eat them while they’re warm. Spoon the buttery syrup from the pan on top and go ahead, add more honey if you want.
