Mochi Potato Treats (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup sticky rice flour
02 - 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into pieces
03 - 1 tablespoon white sugar
04 - 1/2 cup water
05 - A splash of soy sauce, about 2 tablespoons
06 - Cooking oil for frying
07 - Optional: chopped green onions for sprinkling
08 - Optional: sesame seeds for topping

# Instructions:

01 - Put potato chunks in salted, boiling water. Cook for 15-20 minutes until soft. Drain, then mash them smooth.
02 - Mix water, sugar, sticky rice flour, and mashed potatoes in a bowl. Stir everything until it turns into a stretchy dough.
03 - Roll the dough and split it into small, equal sections. Shape each one into a ball.
04 - Warm up oil in a frying pan on medium heat. Flatten each ball gently, then fry in batches. Cook until they're golden on both sides, roughly 3-4 minutes per side.
05 - Take the cooked mochi out and let them sit on paper towels to soak up any extra oil.
06 - Pour some soy sauce over the mochi and add sesame seeds or green onions, if you'd like.
07 - Eat them while they're nice and warm.
