Pop a good splash of olive oil into a big skillet on medium-high heat. When it's hot, toss in the sausage slices. Let them cook for 2-3 minutes, flip, then sear the other side for about a minute till golden brown.

Throw the broccoli into the pan with a pinch of black pepper and kosher salt. Stir around and cook until it’s bright green and just a little soft—should take about 5 minutes.

Add minced garlic and the orzo to the pan. Give it all a good mix and let it cook for one more minute.

Pour in your chicken broth and give it a stir. Once it boils, bring the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer gently for 10-15 minutes till the orzo soaks up the liquid and gets nice and soft.

Mix in the parmesan cheese till it’s all melted. Dish it up right away, and if you feel like it, sprinkle on more cheese before eating.
