Switch the broiler on and adjust the oven rack so it’s near the top.

Cut each date open lengthwise and remove the pit. Stuff them with mascarpone and sprinkle the top with crushed pecans.

Line a baking sheet with parchment and lay out the filled dates. Pour the maple syrup on top.

Slide the tray under the broiler for roughly 3 minutes, just till you see some golden color. Keep an eye out so they don’t burn.

Give the dates a minute or two to cool off before you eat. They’re tasty warm or at room temp.

Pop any leftovers into the fridge. They’ll keep well for about 3 days.
