01 -
Make sure to rinse and dry your strawberries completely. Cut off the tops and slice them into pieces about ¼ inch thick. Keeping them evenly sliced ensures they cook the same.
02 -
Spread the strawberry slices out on your air fryer tray or basket so they’re in one layer and don’t stack on top of each other. If you can’t fit all of them, you’ll need to work in rounds.
03 -
Mist the berries with a small amount of cooking spray for crispness. Be careful not to add too much – just a quick spritz will work.
04 -
Put the air fryer at 180°F (82°C) and let your strawberries cook for 15 minutes. Keep the heat low – think of it like drying the berries out rather than roasting them.
05 -
Carefully turn each strawberry piece over, then place them back in the air fryer. Let them cook for another 25 minutes at the same low temperature (180°F).
06 -
The strawberries should feel mostly dry, with slightly crisp edges while staying a bit flexible in the middle. If they still feel damp, add an extra 5-10 minutes.
07 -
Repeat this entire process with any extra strawberries until you’ve dried them all to your liking.
08 -
Wait for the slices to cool down totally before eating. As they cool, they’ll firm up a little more.
