Whisk the egg, vanilla, and cream in a small bowl. Pour it onto the flour mixture along with the mix-ins, turning it into a soft dough with gentle mixing.

On a floured counter, flatten the dough into a circle about 8 inches wide. Slice it into 8 triangle pieces.

Pop it in the fridge for 15 minutes after brushing with cream and sprinkling sugar on top.

Set the pieces on a parchment-lined tray and bake in a 400°F oven for 18-26 minutes. Take them out when they’re golden.
