Set your oven to 350°F and get a baking sheet ready with parchment.

Beat the butter with sugar till fluffy and scrape the bowl down as needed.

Stir in the egg yolk and vanilla until everything mixes well.

Combine the flour and salt in a bowl, then slowly add to the butter mix.

Form one-inch dough balls and leave about 2 inches between on the tray.

Pop them in the oven for about 5 minutes.

Take them out and press a thumbprint in the middle of each one.

Spoon about a quarter to half a teaspoon of raspberry jam into the indent.

Bake for another 12-15 minutes, then pull them out.
