Classic Holiday Treats (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Half a cup of unsalted butter.
02 - A quarter cup of brown sugar, firmly packed.
03 - One yolk from a large egg.
04 - Half a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
05 - One cup of plain flour.
06 - A pinch (1/4 teaspoon) of salt.
07 - Raspberry jam for the centers.

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F and get a baking sheet ready with parchment.
02 - Beat the butter with sugar till fluffy and scrape the bowl down as needed.
03 - Stir in the egg yolk and vanilla until everything mixes well.
04 - Combine the flour and salt in a bowl, then slowly add to the butter mix.
05 - Form one-inch dough balls and leave about 2 inches between on the tray.
06 - Pop them in the oven for about 5 minutes.
07 - Take them out and press a thumbprint in the middle of each one.
08 - Spoon about a quarter to half a teaspoon of raspberry jam into the indent.
09 - Bake for another 12-15 minutes, then pull them out.
10 - Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.

02 - Do the thumbprints after baking a bit so they don't break.
